Video Game

From the very first year, we teach students a methodology aimed at developing their creativity. The challenge? Being able to propose solutions that are both relevant and innovative. We put them in a real-world scenario with a specific set of requirements to follow and teach them how to respond to it while avoiding clichés. To nourish their thought process, we ask them to look for references (literary, philosophical, artistic, etc.) that they can rely on to develop their own response. The development of creativity also involves a lot of experimentation. Classes at LISAA are primarily held in workshops: where one experiments, manipulates, tests, attempts, creates, undoes, and where learning from mistakes is encouraged.

Course details

The Bachelor's program in Video Game Designer - Tech Art specialization will allow you to master the various technical skills related to Tech Art professions. Over the course of three years of study, you will be trained in 3D modeling techniques, texturing, lighting, shader creation, and special effects, as well as the use of game engines such as Unity 3D and Unreal Engine 4.

Skills and teaching methods

The Bachelor Video Game Designer program spans over a period of 3 years and offers a choice of 3 specializations from the first year: Game Art, Game Design, Tech Art, which correspond to the professions in the video game industry.

The Tech Art specialization allows students to focus on the creation of 3D environments, mastering visual effects, and creating 2D backgrounds. The technical artist is responsible for creating a 3D environment, from modeling to integration into the game engines on the market.

The program is open to post-baccalaureate students and can be integrated in the 2nd or 3rd year depending on the level. A minimum 1-month internship in a company is mandatory to validate the curriculum and become familiar with the professional world.

The Game Art Master's program offered by LISAA Paris allows students to complete their training and deepen their knowledge.
