About

LISAA

Arts, Design & Architecture

From the very first year, we teach students a methodology aimed at developing their creativity. The challenge? Being able to propose solutions that are both relevant and innovative. We put them in a real-world scenario with a specific set of requirements to follow and teach them how to respond to it while avoiding clichés. To nourish their thought process, we ask them to look for references (literary, philosophical, artistic, etc.) that they can rely on to develop their own response. The development of creativity also involves a lot of experimentation. Classes at LISAA are primarily held in workshops: where one experiments, manipulates, tests, attempts, creates, undoes, and where learning from mistakes is encouraged.

Course details

In two years, the Master's in 3D Animation offered by LISAA will allow you to perfect your skills and focus on 3D animation techniques, project management, and realization such as production direction, storytelling, directing, concept art, layout, modeling, rigging, animation, matte painting, lighting, rendering, VFX, and composition.

An international and innovative double-degree program.

In two years, the 3D Animation Master's program will allow you to strengthen your skills in directing, master the use of software for complex projects, and improve production management. This program also offers students from 2D backgrounds the opportunity to familiarize themselves with 3D tools, while those from real-time backgrounds can gain experience in directing and pre-rendered 3D. You will thus develop a deep understanding of the entire 3D animation production process, which represents an excellent opportunity for graduates to work in studios.

What skills will you acquire?

Definition and validation of the graphic design project

In collaboration with the client, taking into account cultural and artistic trends, as well as technical, technological, and legal developments in the industry. Planning of the graphic design process and guiding the client throughout the process.

Development of creative ideas and concepts

Presentation and justification of creative directions. Creation of graphic productions, including project visual identity, motion design, interface design, graphic content, and images. Monitoring of production and quality control of deliverables.

Team management for project deployment

Including selection, guidance, and evaluation of team members. Guiding the adoption of the project vision and artistic direction of the graphic design project.

Promotion of expertise and project results

Including the creation of a print and digital portfolio, presentation of the graphic design project results, and development of a professional network.

Subjects

The first year of the Master's program will allow you to perfect your artistic and technical skills and specialize in one of the professions involved in the production of an animated film. A particular pedagogical model in the form of dedicated modules is implemented. Students choose three modules that they will focus on throughout the program, in addition to the two mandatory modules.

This pedagogy immerses students in the reality of the professions, alternating individual exercises and team work, notably through the pre-production of the final graduation films. You will therefore produce your project from A to Z, accompanied by professionals who will come throughout the year to help you assess your progress and provide the necessary insights. At the end of the year, you will present the entire pre-production work done as a team, in front of a jury composed of professionals from the sector.

During the period, you can immerse yourself in the professional world through an internship at any time during the year.

The second year of the Master's program will allow you to develop technical and artistic skills on the same pedagogical model as the previous year, this time on the production and post-production phases of the final graduation films.

In parallel with the courses, you will continue the production of your animated short film. You will produce your project from A to Z, accompanied by professionals who will come throughout the year to help you assess your progress and provide the necessary insights. At the end of the year, you will present yourself in two stages to a jury composed of professionals from the sector. The first stage will be as a team for the presentation of the finalized films, and the second stage will be individually for the presentation of your portfolios and demoreels to the same jury.

During the period, you can once again immerse yourself in the professional world through an internship at any time during the year.
