About

JUNIA

Engineering & Technology

JUNIA is a French engineering school born from the merger of three prestigious schools, namely ISA (Higher Institute of Agriculture), ISEN (Higher Institute of Electronics and Digital Technology) and HEI (Higher Studies in Engineering).

This merger has made it possible to combine the expertise and know-how of each of the schools to offer a more comprehensive and multidisciplinary engineering education, focused on ecological, digital and technological transitions. JUNIA students thus benefit from a wide range of specializations ranging from agricultural sciences to digital engineering, renewable energies, smart and resilient cities, and many other fields.

JUNIA is a French engineering school focused on ecological, digital and technological transitions, where students and teaching staff tackle the great challenges of today and tomorrow.

From food science to AI, through smart agriculture and renewable energy, as well as smart and resilient cities and environmental sciences, the wide range of specializations offered in our Master's programs in Science and Engineering is designed to meet the multidimensional challenges of our future.

Course details

The International Preparatory Cycle at Junia in Lille is a 2-year program designed to provide students with a solid foundation in science, human formation, and project management. The first year of the program is taught entirely in English in France and allows students to build their knowledge and skills. In the second year, students consolidate their foundation and are introduced to more specialized modules in computer science or mechanics to acquire prerequisites for the 3rd year, which can be completed either internationally or in the HEI or ISEN engineering program.

Students can choose to complete their 3rd year at one of Junia's partner universities in Europe, which are among the top-ranked universities in the continent. The program then concludes with a return to France for the 4th year at either ISEN or HEI to obtain the engineering degree.

Pedagogy

The first two years are entirely taught in English in France. The first year allows students to build a foundation of knowledge and skills (science, humanities, project management). The second year consolidates this foundation and introduces more specialized modules in computer science or mechanics, to acquire the prerequisites for a 3rd year abroad or in the HEI or ISEN engineering program.

Students choose to complete their third year at one of the top-ranked European partner universities.
