Course details

You want to become a journalist? The Bachelor in Journalism at IICP is made for you! This 3-year generalist and professionalizing training provides you with the necessary skills to practice this exciting profession.

Training details

Our Journalism Bachelor's degree program lasts for 3 years. You can join in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year with the following prerequisites:

  • in the 1st year: Baccalaureate in all fields and all sections*. Admission in the 1st year is done outside of Parcoursup.
  • in the 2nd year: having validated one year of education in journalism or in a field close to information professions (information-communication, marketing...).
  • in the 3rd year: having validated two years of education in journalism (e.g. DUT Information-Communication with a journalism option) or a second year of journalism training.

Bachelor Journalism Objectives

At the end of your three-year training, you will be able to:

  • Express yourself in writing, respecting journalistic rules
  • Create TV and radio audiovisual subjects (reportage, news flash...)
  • Shoot and edit video subjects in broadcast format and MoJo (Mobile Journalism)
  • Conduct a journalistic investigation and produce information for any type of media
  • Show the listening and critical thinking skills necessary for the journalist's posture to analyze current events
  • Master the entire journalist environment (ethics, media history, overview of new media)

Admission

French language level required:

  • TCF B1 or equivalent for the 1-year program,
  • TCF A2 or equivalent for the 1-year intensive reinforced program.

Students must also have a study project in the field of art and culture that fits into the Bachelor or Master programs of IESA or other art schools.
